According to data released by the Port Authority of Port Hedland, Australia, iron ore exports from Port Hedland in April 2023 were about 43.27 million tons, down 2.49 million tons from 45.76 million tons in March 2023 and 5 per cent month-on-month. There was a decrease of 2.51 million tons from 45.78 million tons in the same period last year, and a decrease of 5 per cent from the same period last year. Of this total, the volume of iron ore shipped to China was about 35.53 million tons, down 4.88 million tons from 40.41 million tons in March 2023, or 12% from the previous month. There was a decrease of 3.93 million tons from 39.46 million tons in the same period last year, and a decrease of 10 per cent from the same period last year.
