Vietnam’s Hot Rolled Roll Import Prices Continue To Remain Stable

On October 27, Vietnam’s hot coil import assessment price was 550-560 US dollars/ton (CFR), which continued to remain stable on a week-on-week basis (mainly referring to 2-3mm re-rolled SAE1006 hot coil and similar products).

According to Vietnamese market news, the mainstream export quotation of China’s SAE1006 hot coils to Vietnam last week was 565-570 US dollars/ton (CFR). Last week, there were also several batches of Chinese spot SAE1006 hot coils exported to Vietnam, with an export quotation of 550 US dollars/ton (CFR); last week The mainstream export quotations of China’s SS400 hot coil and Q195 hot coil to Vietnam are US$530/ton (CFR) and US$520-525/ton (CFR). A Vietnamese trader said that there were not many actual transactions in Vietnam’s imported hot coil market last week. Currently, Vietnamese buyers are relatively more inclined to purchase local hot coils. The current price of non-finished SAE1006 hot coils of Ha Tinh Steel in Vietnam is US$575/ton in Vietnam ( CIF), it can actually be discounted to US$555/ton (CIF).

On October 27, Vietnam’s imported hot rolled coils from Japan, South Korea and Taiwan were assessed at US$575-585/ton (CFR), a week-on-week decrease of US$5-15/ton (CFR). Last week, the export quotations of hot coils from Japan, South Korea and Taiwan to Vietnam were still very few.
