Since 1998, Tianjin Runfei Trade Co., Ltd. has been a leading supplier of premium coated steel products. Our Galvalume steel (GL steel) is manufactured using a continuous hot-dip process, applying a precise alloy coating of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. This unique “aluminum-iron-silicon-zinc” structure combines the physical barrier protection and heat resistance of aluminum with the sacrificial galvanic protection of zinc. The result is a highly durable building material that excels in marine, industrial, and high-temperature environments.
We maintain a massive inventory of Aluzinc coils and sheets, ready for custom slitting and cut-to-length processing. Our products comply with strict international standards (such as ASTM A792 and EN 10346):
Coating Weights: We offer a full range of coatings from AZ30 up to heavy-duty AZ275 (including AZ100, AZ150, and AZ180) to suit different environmental demands.
Steel Grades: Available in commercial, drawing, and structural grades including DX51D+AZ, DC51D+AZ, S250GD+AZ, S350GD+AZ, and S450GD+AZ.
Surface Treatments: Our coils can be supplied with an Anti-Finger Print (AFP) clear coating, chromated, oiled, or un-oiled finishes.
Aesthetics: Featuring a bright, natural metallic look with a delicate regular spangle, highly appreciated by architects for exposed building applications.
While both materials offer excellent rust protection, Galvalume significantly outperforms standard galvanized steel in long-term durability. Tests show that in coastal or highly polluted areas, Galvalume lasts 2 to 4 times longer (often exceeding 30+ years). Additionally, Galvalume reflects over 80% of solar heat, making it the superior and more energy-efficient choice for metal roofing in hot climates. However, for budget-constrained projects in dry, indoor environments, traditional galvanized steel remains a viable alternative.
Q: What is the difference between Galvalume and Aluzinc?
A: There is no difference in the material composition itself. “Galvalume” and “Aluzinc” are simply different trademarked or regional names for steel coated with the same 55% Aluminum-Zinc alloy. You may also see it referred to as GL steel or Zincalume in various markets.
Q: Can Galvalume steel be painted or color-coated?
A: Yes. Galvalume has excellent paint adhesion properties. It serves as the perfect premium substrate for PPGL (Pre-Painted Galvalume Steel), allowing it to be coated with PVDF or polyester paints to create colorful, weather-resistant roofing systems.
Q: Do you export your Galvalume steel coils internationally?
A: Absolutely. With an export license obtained in 2004, Runfei Steel has been supplying high-quality coated steel to over 60 countries and regions worldwide. We provide professional seaworthy packaging (including moisture-proof paper and steel strapping) to prevent damage during ocean freight from the Tianjin port.
Our mission is to be the pioneer of product, cost solution and service concept in steel industry chain.
