Argentina produced 61104 light commercial vehicles and sedans in March, an increase of 26.1% compared to February 2022 and 25.4% compared to March 2022.
From February to March, automobile exports increased by 35.3% to 32420 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 31.7% compared to March 2022. Domestic sales in March were 38027 vehicles, an increase of 26.4% compared to February and 12.6% compared to March.
According to Martin Galdino, Chairman of the Adefa Association of the Automobile Industry in the country, the data obtained by the industry in the first quarter confirms the upward trend predicted for 2023.
He added that the growth in production, domestic and export sales reflects the production chain and the work carried out by the country’s authorities in the first quarter of 2023, when Argentina’s car production increased by 28.1% year-on-year to 134574 units.
